PF carries out operation against group that sold synthetic drugs in 5 states through the Post Office

The Federal Police (PF) launched Operation Carta Marcada this Wednesday morning (22) with the aim of combating interstate trafficking of synthetic drugs in five states.

Agents serve two search and seizure warrants in Goiânia and Aparecida de Goiânia, in Goiás. According to the PF, a portion of marijuana for consumption was found in the home of one of the investigated. The resident signed a detailed term and will be presented to Justice without being arrested.

According to the investigation, the criminal group advertised the sale of synthetic drugs over the internet and forwarded the material in correspondence sent to the buyer’s home through the Post Office. The practice led to the name of the action, “Carta Marcada”.

The investigation also indicated that these shipments were sent from Goiânia to cities located in the interior of Goiás, as well as to Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Bahia and Tocantins.

The PF explains that the commercialized synthetic drug is called “25E-NBOH” and has a molecular structure and effects similar to those of other drugs already known and banned, such as the hallucinogens LSD and NBOMe.

A CNN went to the post office and is waiting for a return.
