PF arrests man with liquid cocaine in a suitcase at Campinas Airport (SP)

The Federal Police arrested on Wednesday morning (9) a 19-year-old, of foreign nationality, trying to board France with 12 bottles containing cocaine diluted in liquid medium in your luggage.

The seizure took place during inspection action at the Viracopos International Airport Passenger Terminal in Campinas (SP), under Operation Shield.

According to the PF, the suspect had arrived in Campinas on a flight from Belém (PA), where he would go on a trip to Europe. The drug was found inside the dispatched suitcase, disguisedly packed in various bottles.

Operation SHIELD is the third annual inspection action carried out by the Federal Police focused on the repression of unlawful interference acts in civil aviation, with a special focus on combating national and international drug trafficking at Viracopos airport.

The young man has been arrested in the act and will respond for international narcotics trafficking. The penalty for the crime can reach up to 15 years in prison.
