Petrobras paid this Wednesday (31) the first installment of dividends to shareholders for the second quarter of 2022 in the amount of R$ 3.37 per common or preferred share. Those who held company shares at B3 until August 11 will be considered.
According to the state-owned company, the first installment of the payment will involve R$2.94 per outstanding common or preferred share and R$0.42 in interest on equity per share.
As approved at the Board of Directors’ meeting held on July 28, the second installment, dated September 20, will have the same amount.
According to the state-owned company, of the total remuneration to shareholders, 36.6% will be allocated to the Union, which holds most of the company’s common shares.
For shareholders who traded on the New York Stock Exchange (ADR) until August 15, dividends will be paid on September 8 and 27 through JP Morgan Chase bank.
In total, R$ 87.8 billion will be paid in remuneration to shareholders this quarter, a record for the oil company. Adding the BRL 48.5 billion paid in the previous three months, the total exceeds the amount accumulated in 2021, of BRL 101.4 billion.
