Petrobras informed that on Tuesday (2) it concluded the sale of all its participation in assets of the Peroá Complex, located in the Espírito Santo Basin, to a subsidiary of 3R Petroleum.
The acquisition marks the start of 3R’s offshore operations, the company said in a separate statement.
“The Peroá Complex represents a significant increase in 3R’s gas production, strengthening the Company’s positioning as an independent player in the industry,” he said.
Located in the Espírito Santo Basin, the hub involves the Peroá and Cangoá production fields and the BM-ES-21 concession (Malombe Discovery Assessment Plan).
According to information from 3R, the Peroá Complex recorded an average production of approximately 763 thousand cubic meters per day of natural gas and 225 barrels per day of oil in 2021, totaling approximately 5,025 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The transaction between the companies was concluded with the cash payment of US$ 8.07 million to Petrobras, already with the adjustments provided for in the contract.
The amount received is in addition to the US$ 5 million paid to the state-owned company at the signing of the purchase and sale agreement.
In addition to this amount, Petrobras expects to receive up to US$ 42.5 million in contingent payments, depending on future Brent prices and asset development.
