The series “My Lady Jane” entered the Prime Video catalog this Thursday (27). The production is inspired by the best-selling book of the same name, which is a retelling of the history of England, in which King Henry 8th’s son, Edward, does not die of tuberculosis, and Lady Jane Gray is not beheaded along with her husband, Guildford.
Set in a fantasy world during the Tudor dynasty in England, the plot follows Lady Jane, who escapes death and assumes the crown while being targeted by enemies who want to take the throne.
The debut actress Emily Bader plays Jane Grey, and Edward Bluemel plays husband Guildford Dudley; Jordan Peters plays King Edward; Dominic Cooper plays Lord Seymour; Anna Chancellor plays Jane’s mother, Lady Frances Gray; Rob Brydon plays Lord Dudley, Guildford’s father; It is Jim Broadbent plays the Duke of Leicester, Jane’s uncle.
