A mega-operation was launched this Wednesday (15th) to arrest leaders of the largest Brazilian criminal faction, the PCC, in Rio Grande do Norte.
Eight people were arrested, seven men and one woman. Justice issued 12 arrest warrants, but four people were not found and are considered outlaws.
The detainees are being forwarded to the Federal Police Station of Mossoró/RN and, after completing the due formalities, they will be transferred to the prison system where they will be available to Justice.
The investigators believe that the prisons will contribute to the reduction of violent crimes committed in Rio Grande do Norte and reinforce that the integrated work between the security forces is the most effective methodology for combating crime.
This operation is carried out by the Susp task force of the Ministry of Justice, with the participation of the Federal Police, Civil Police/DIVIPOE, Military Police/BOPE, Federal Criminal Police and State Criminal Police. The operation involved 120 police officers.

Leader
At the end of January, drug dealer Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, Marcola, known as the leader of the PCC, was transferred from Rondônia to the Federal Penitentiary in BrasÃlia.
The transfer operation was carried out to avoid conversations between Marcola and other members of the group.
Sentenced to 330 years for various crimes, this is Marcola’s second visit to the prison, where he stayed between 2019 and March 2022.
Since then, he has been imprisoned in another federal penitentiary, in Rondônia, where he had also passed before going to BrasÃlia for the first time.
