On social media, the businesswoman and wife of Caetano Veloso, Paula Lavigne, decided to clarify statements about her marriage that were going viral on social media after the broadcast of the program “Angélica: 50 & Tanto”, on Globoplay, in which she participated.
In the episode, Angélica, Ivete Sangalo, Paula Lavigne, Carolina Dieckmann and Giovanna Ewbank talked about their respective marriages.
Paula then said: “What happened to us [ela e Caetano] It’s just that the separation didn’t work out. The separation went very wrong.”
“We stopped having sex, but we continued our partnership and union. Marriage has to have a project, it cannot sustain itself. You have to know how to adapt, because there are different phases,” she added.
On social media, the businesswoman clarified that she was referring to the moment of separation when she said that she and Caetano no longer had sexual relations.
“The way the program was edited, a misunderstanding arose in my speech about having sex with Caetano. What I said, in fact and in full, is that when we separated, we continued to live together and maintain our professional partnership, we just didn’t have sex (laughs). Then we went back to a wedding, with sex, lol”, she said in a post on Instagram.
“I hope I made it clear! It doesn’t work to talk about personal life, there are always misinterpretations”, added Paula in the caption.
She also mentioned another part of the program, which went viral on social media when it showed the businesswoman calling her assistant to express admiration. On social media, internet users commented on Paula’s lack of ability to show her feelings.
“I saw the meme that is going around on social media about my call with Edna, a woman I admire, and apparently, I think that not only do I not know how to express affection, but I also don’t know how to express myself with words,” he also said in the Instagram post .
Throughout the program, Paula Lavigne also commented on when she lost her virginity to Caetano Veloso, when she was still 13 years old.
“When I started dating Caetano, I was an actress too, but all the press harassment towards me was because I was dating him. Then, I decided to be honest and do an interview, tell stories that no one else tells, and I told him that I had lost my virginity to him when I was 13. For me, it was a love story. Since then I haven’t said anything else,” Paula said on the program.
“My father was a criminalist, if that had been done with any type of abuse, you can be sure he would have taken some action. And he already knew that I wasn’t in that position of needing to defend myself. I think that if anyone abused anyone, it was me who abused Caetano”, she added.
