An amendment providing for the appointment of the successful candidates in the ASEP competition of 2008, in compliance with decision No. 527/2015 of the Plenary Session of the CoE, was submitted by PASOK-Movement for Change deputies. The amendment was submitted to the Ministry of Education bill entitled “New Horizons in Higher Education Institutions”.
According to the MPs, the amendment cures the judicially established unconstitutionality and restores prospective teachers with a ranking higher than the last one appointed by virtue of the above regulation of Law 4589/2019, thus imposing full compliance with the principles of equality and meritocracy.
The amendment is signed by MPs Hara Kefalidou, Evangelia Liakoulis, Haris Kastanidis, Dimitris Konstantopoulos, Dimitris Biagis and Vassilis Kegeroglou.
