Europe needs to decide whether it is willing to re -impose penalties on Iran when it is clear that it is close to the development of a nuclear weapon, US Secretary of State Marko Rubio said today. “Europeans have a decision to make, because I believe that we should all expect that they will receive a report from the IAEA (the International Organization of Atomic Energy) that will not only say that Iran does not comply but that Iran is dangerously close to a weapon, closer than ever,” he said. Rubio said the US government is seeking a peaceful solution with Iran, but will never tolerate the country to develop a nuclear weapon. “It must be something that not only prevents Iran from the nuclear weapon now,” he said, referring to a possible agreement. “But in the future, not only for 10 years with an expiration of power or something.” Source: RES
