The music “Alibi” released by the Iranian singer Sevdaliza in partnership with the drag queen Pabllo Vittar and the French Yseult continues to climb the music charts and reached, this Tuesday (16), the top 5 most played songs on Spotify in Brazil .
The release by the singer from Maranhão surpassed “Sagrado Profano”, by Luísa Sonza and KayBlack, to become the most listened to pop song in the country. Above “Alibi” are two hits from sertanejo (“Sonho Dela” and “Eu Sou Sentimento”) and two from funk (“The Box Medley Funk 2” and “MTG Quem Não Quer Sou Eu”).
The song also climbed the global charts and reached the top 15 on Spotify worldwide, becoming the 14th most listened to song in the world on the digital platform. “Alibi” already has more than 38 million views on music streaming and around 3.7 million of them were made in the last 24 hours computed by Spotify.
“Alibi” also made Pabllo Vittar the first Brazilian drag queen to enter the top 50 of music streaming and hold the third highest peak for a Brazilian artist on the platform, behind only Anitta, who reached the top with “Envolver” and eighth place with “Bellakeo”, in collaboration with Peso Pluma.
Sevdaliza’s song went viral on social media thanks to a sample of a traditional Colombian song (“Rosa”, by Totó La Momposina), used to compose its chorus (“Rosa, que linda eres”) and which serves as a “bed” for the repetition of “Alibi”, the title of the song.
Pabllo Vittar will be the most important drag queen in the world, says NY Times
