The UN Department for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) announced that it is no longer able to distribute basic foods in the Gaza Strip due to the continued exclusion imposed by Israel on the entry of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian pocket. “Humanitarian aid and supplies have not entered Gaza for more than 50 days (…) since the Israeli authorities have imposed a siege,” UNRWA said in a statement published yesterday. “Consequently, critical reserves in humanitarian aid – including food, fuel, medical assistance and vaccines for children – are quickly eager,” he added.
