Focused on actions in favor of sustainability in tourism and gastronomy, the Organic Festival lands in trancoso after more than two years to carry out its third edition.
Between the days October 6th and 9th the Bahian hotspot welcomes renowned chefs from all over the country and reserves a agenda of multidisciplinary experiences that privilege engagement with sustainable practices.
The program includes classes, lectures, lunches and dinners with local and guest chefs.
Among them are Morena Leite from Capim Santo; Gabriela Barreto Chou and Future Refectory; Danielle Dahoui from Ruella; Ricardo Lapeyre from Escama, in Rio de Janeiro; Roberta Sudbrack from Sud, and Neka Menna Barreto, from Neka Gastronomia.
Throughout the event, everyone can interact with organic producers from the south of Bahia and from all over Brazil, as the project aims to propose a reflection on the means of production and conscious food with names that are references in the sector.
Schedule
Casa Organic Festival Trancoso, next to Igreja São João Batista, at the end of the Quadrado, is the meeting point for chefs, producers, tourists and the local community.
During the festival, classes take place both in the community garden of Associação Despertar Trancoso, on the main street of the village, and in Capim Santo Trancoso – immersive experiences and dinner for six are also held at the restaurant.
Saturday, October 8, is marked by the event’s famous picnic: a team of chefs and producers join forces in the Historic Square, where signature dishes are served at R$20.
The festival ends on Sunday, the 9th, with a luau at UXUA Praia Bar and a pocket show by the singer Alice Caymmi free to the community.
