Orange Alert: Five states are in danger for heavy rains, says Inmet

Part of the Southeast and Midwest regions are in orange alert for heavy rains On the morning of Wednesday (16), according to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet).

The Danger Warning It was released at 00h and is valid until 12h this Wednesday. It can be extended by the institute in the afternoon.

The organ divides the alerts into three degrees of severity: potential (yellow) danger, danger (orange) and great danger (red).

Inmet alerts to rains up to 60 millimeters per hour and intense winds of up to 100 km/h . There is a risk of falls of branches and trees, flooding and cutting cuts.

The states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais can be affected by thunderstorms. THE Minas Gerais Territory must have the greatest impact according to the Inmet chart that shows the regions on alert. See below:


According to the warning, 755 municipalities can be affected by rains this morning . The institute also instructs the population of these regions not to be sheltered under trees or park vehicles near towers and power transmission posts.
