More than 400 people were arrested In the metropolitan region of Salvador and in the interior of Bahia in an operation of the Civil Police on Thursday (27). The operation aims to dismantle criminal organizations and curb homicides, drug trafficking and heritage crimes.
The action was attended by approximately 1,200 civil police officers who meet 101 court orders.
During the operation there was a confrontation in Itapitanga, in the south of the state, between armed criminals and the police teams. In the action, Edeilton Moreira Souza, appointed as one of the leaders of the criminal group that worked in the region, died after being shot.
With the suspect were seized a .38 caliber revolver with scraped numbering, ammunition and an amount of money.
In the city of Iraquara, a man who had judicial authorization for the Cultivation of Cannabis sativa for personal use used this permission for commercialization illegal of the substance, according to Civil Police investigations. In the city were found slot machines and narcotics.
In Bonita, teams captured a suspect, sought in the state of Minas Gerais, accused of receiving, drug trafficking and attempted murder. In Seabra and Andaraí, pre -trial arrest warrants were fulfilled against suspects of vulnerable rape, one of the detainees was investigated for a crime committed against his own daughter.
In the city of Luís Eduardo Magalhães, two suspects of involvement in the murder of businessman Wilson Pereira Chaves Neto were arrested. During the action, in a hotel in the center of the city, drugs, money, a simulacrum of gun and a firearm were found. The agents hold two guests in the act.
