In an exclusive interview with TechRadar, OnePlus Head of Product Oliver Zhang released details and images of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G smartphone, which will be unveiled on February 17th. It is expected to cost around $400 and be released in European and Asian markets.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is shown in a new color the company is calling Bahana Blue. Zhang also confirmed that the upcoming phone will have a second color option called Gray Mirror. The back design looks more like a budget Oppo phone than the new OnePlus 10 Pro. It also doesn’t look like the old OnePlus 9 series. This decision may have been made so that companies can save on costs, as the Oppo Nord CE 2 clone is likely to be released later in Asia.

The head of OnePlus products also confirmed some of the specifications of the upcoming phone. OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G will be equipped with a 4500 mAh battery. The phone will support 65W wired fast charging, capable of providing a day’s worth of power in just 15 minutes of charging. Full charge time from 0 to 100% is not confirmed.
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord CE 2 5G will have a microSD card slot with up to 1TB of expandable storage. The phone will feature a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution.

The main camera will use image sensors with a resolution of 64, 8 and 2 megapixels. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 single-chip system with 5G support. It will likely have 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal flash storage depending on the version you choose.
