On Children’s Day, “O Menino Maluquinho” arrives on Netflix

There have been countless productions since the appearance of the character “Menino Maluquinho”, by cartoonist Ziraldo, in 1980. In addition to the book itself, there was a live-action, animated series, two films, in addition to a soundtrack that featured songs by artists such as Milton Nascimento, Rita Lee and Herbet Vianna.

It’s a character that, for 40 years, has conquered children (and adults too) and, this time, enchanted Netflix. “O Menino Maluquinho”, the first Brazilian animated series on the streaming service, will have 26 short, 12-minute episodes.

The plot of the series is similar to that of the first film, from 1995. The character’s parents are separating and the Crazy Boy needs to learn to live between his new house and his old one.

In addition to Menino Maluquinho himself, other characters will be presented. Some we already know, others we don’t.

With a family and educational plot, in addition to being funny, the target audience, according to the producers of the series, starts with children aged 6 years and continues until adulthood.

With Ziraldo turning 90 on the 24th, it’s all of us who get this gift.
