Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov assessed the results of the first 100 days of the war in Ukraine on Friday, saying that “certain results” have been achieved and that work will continue until all targets are met.
“The operation’s main objective is to protect people in the DPR and LPR. In terms of ensuring their protection, measures are being taken and certain results have been achieved,” Peskov told reporters on a regular conference call.
Peskov said many settlements “were liberated from Ukraine’s pro-Nazi armed forces, as well as directly from nationalist elements,” echoing the Kremlin’s justification for the war.
“The opportunity was given for people to begin to establish a peaceful life. This work will continue until all objectives of the special military operation are achieved,” he said.
The lives of countless people were altered during the war, with thousands dead and millions displaced due to the invasion.
