In the middle of this week, Xiaomi officially introduced the flagship smartphone Redmi K50 Gaming Edition in its country, and from today the device is officially available for purchase in the Chinese market.
The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs around $520, while the 12GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at $568. There’s also 12GB of RAM with 256GB of onboard flash storage, priced at $615.
The company also launched the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Champion Edition, which is limited to just 10,000 units and is priced at $662 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition features a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It covers the DCI-P3 color gamut, supports HDR10+, MEMC, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The smartphone received a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel telemacro lens. On the front side is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 camera.
The smartphone runs on the MIUI 13 user interface based on the Android 12 operating system. It is powered by a 4700mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging. It is claimed to be able to charge the device up to 100% in 17 minutes.

Redmi K50 Gaming Edition received retractable magnetic trigger keys, four speakers (two broadband and two high-frequency), three microphones, an NFC module, an improved CyberEngine vibration motor.
