Oi notes a net loss of R$ 1.669 billion in the 4th quarter of 2021

Oi presented a consolidated net loss attributed to controlling shareholders of R$1.669 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021, a decrease of 192.9% compared to the same period in 2020.

In 2021, the company reported a net loss of BRL 8.381 billion, a decline of 20.04% over the year ended in 2020.

The routine Ebitda (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) totaled R$ 1.612 billion in the last three months of 2021, an amount 8.1% higher than the amount calculated in the same period of the previous year.

The routine Ebitda margin stood at 35.3%, an increase of 4.0 percentage points over the fourth quarter of 2020.

The company’s total consolidated net revenue was R$ 4.571 billion, a value 4.03% lower than the one calculated a year earlier, of R$ 4.777 billion.

In the year ended December 2021, net revenue totaled BRL 17.933 billion, 4.5% lower than that recorded in 2020. The consolidated net debt for the period amounted to BRL 32.573 billion, an increase of 49.4 % over the same quarter of 2020.

Net revenue from Brazilian operations totaled R$4.525 billion, down 4.01% from the fourth quarter of 2020. Net revenue from international operations (Africa and East Timor) totaled R$46 million, down 21, 4% compared to a year earlier.

Net revenue from continuing operations in Brazil totaled R$2.539 billion in the quarter, down 2.5% from a year earlier.
