ODA: Delivered to Lockheed Martin the first set of F-16 cogeneration program

Hellenic Aviation Industry (EAV) announced that the first set of aft fuselage of the F-16 aircraft was delivered today to Lockheed Martin, as part of the F-16 cogeneration program.

This set of works, the statement added, is manufactured by ODA, which is the sole subcontractor and supplies the entire final production line of the aircraft at the Lockheed facility in Greenville, South Carolina, USA.

ODA emphasizes that this work set is the largest work set of the fuselage of the fighter aircraft, but also one of the most complex of its structure, in terms of the trends it receives. This is because it houses the main part of the engine, but also the aerodynamic braking system.

For its part, Lockheed Martin, according to the announcement, congratulated ODA on the progress of the program in relation to deliveries. He especially thanked the staff for their cooperation, professionalism and dedication to the successful implementation of the program, fully adhering to the very tight schedules.

ODA describes the implementation as “a significant achievement in the effort for the successful development of the program”.

The management and the employees of the company will continue to work together effectively, aiming at the further development of the Greek Aviation Industry, the announcement concludes.
