The obelisk of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, was illuminated on the night of Monday (21) in honor of Pope Francis.
The projection in the monument stamped Francis’ face below a symbol of mourning, next to an inscription saying “pray for me.”

Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, on December 17, 1936, the high pontiff was from the Argentine capital. Francisco marked the history of the Catholic Church as the first Latin American Pope and the first Jesuit to occupy the position.
The Pope took over the Holy See throne in March 2013, being the first to choose the title in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, a saint who became known for his performance with the poor and miserable.
The pontiff died at age 88 after a stroke and irreversible heart failure, Vatican doctor Andrea Arcangeli said in a death certificate released on Monday.
The body was expected to be placed in a coffin on Monday. On the morning of Wednesday (23), will begin the wake of the leader of the Catholic Church, open to the faithful. The date of the funeral, a ceremony that will precede the burial of Francis, has not yet been released.
The certificate, published by the Vatican, states that Francis went in a coma before his death on the morning of Monday.
