The Brazilian Bar Association of São Paulo (OAB-SP) is holding elections for the presidency of the next three years of the entity this Thursday (21).
Voting began at 9am and will close at 5pm . The more than 380 thousand lawyers registered in the state of São Paulo must vote 100% online for the first time in the history of OAB-SP.
THE voting is mandatory for all lawyers with the exception of those over 70 years of age, for whom voting is optional.
Six candidates are running for the Order’s board of directors for the three-year period 2025-2027. See the list below.
- Kauffmann and Lucineia OAB Unida – President Carlos Fernando de Faria Kauffmann
- OAB Always Forward – President Leonardo Sica
- Change OAB – President Paulo Roberto Quissi
- OAB Popular – President Renato Ribeiro de Almeida
- New Order – President Alfredo Scaff Filho
- Caio + Gandra + D’Urso #Pelaordem – President Caio Augusto Silva dos Santos
The elected slate is made up of at least 15 positions including President, Vice, Secretaries, Treasurer, Advisors and alternates. To vote, lawyers only need to be in compliance with the payment of annual fees.
For those who need support to vote, the Sectional will provide support tables at its headquarters. This applies to those who do not have access to the internet, for example.

Voting is done, for the first time, 100% remotely via the OAB-SP website. Lawyers must vote by 5pm this Thursday (21).
On the website, which can be accessed by any electronic device with internet access, you must click on the “Vote” button and identify yourself with your CPF and Order certificate.
Then, the choice of the presidential ticket is made available. It is only possible to vote for one ticket. At the end, a vote receipt will be available on the screen, which can be saved on the device.
Lawyers who do not vote will be penalized with a fine of 20% of the annual fee, unless they justify their abstention in writing, within 30 days from the business day following the election date.
It is possible to justify non-attendance to the election remotely, also via the OAB-SP website, until December 22, 2024.
