O second half of the year is already a reality and the travel plans are still on the rise . After the school holidays in July, holidays and commemorative dates mark the next months, such as the Father’s Day on the 14th of August, the Independence Day on September 7th and of course Christmas and New Year at the end of December.
Among the most sought after national destinations for the period, the beaches of North East remain a preference for Brazilian travelers, according to a survey carried out by the Kayak metasearch engine.
Of the 10 cities in the ranking, six are in the region, where Recife, Fortaleza, Salvador, Maceió, Natal and Porto Seguro appear on the list. Who heads the relationship, however, are destinations from the Southeast, such as Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Among international destinations, United States and Portugal predominate among the searches. The Portuguese capital Lisbon takes the lead and is followed by Buenos Aires, in Argentina, and Orlandoin the US state of Florida.
The search was done on the platform’s database looking for round-trip flights to national and international airports. Searches were considered between the months of April and June for trips intended to be carried out until December 31.

The same survey shows that travel search volume has increased significantly this year compared to 2021.
São Paulo had an increase of 418% in searches, as well as Rio de Janeiro marked an increase of 377%. Salvador, in Bahia, had a 343% increase in volume and Recife, in Pernambuco, had an increase of 294%.
Among foreign destinations, the highest percentages were due to Rome, Italy, which saw a 3,104% increase while Paris, in France, registered an increase of 2,379%.
