There will be no negotiations or exchange of prisoners until Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip stops, Osama Hamdan, a Gaza official, said today Hamas at a press conference. “We consider the Israeli prime minister Netanyahu fully responsible for the lives of the Israeli hostages and for preventing the completion of the swap agreement,” he added.
Earlier today, tensions flared during a meeting between family members of hostages kidnapped by Hamas – including those who have been released – with Benjamin Netanyahu and members of the war cabinet, according to Israeli media.
Reports want Netanyahu to stress to the families that “there is no possibility at this time to release all of them. Can one really imagine that if this was an option, someone would refuse it?”, which angered many of those present.
