Nine militia are arrested during ‘Crime Party’ in RJ

Nine militiamen were arrested at dawn on Sunday (13), during a ‘Crime Party’ in the city of Duque de Caxias, in the Baixada Fluminense.

According to the Civil Police, they celebrated the anniversary of one of the members of the militia that operates in the region of the neighborhood of São Bento. Also according to police, the paramilitary group Acts together with the criminal faction Third Pure Command (TCP) in the locality.

Arriving at the party – a commercial establishment with swimming pools, barbecues, soccer field and bar – police officers surrendered some militiamen who were at the door making the event security. See images from the party venue:



Other criminals were armed. There was a reaction from some of them, who tried to escape by jumping the wall to a forest area. After rapid gunfire, the escape bandits were reached and captured.

The arrests were made by the agents of the Organized Criminal Repression Police Station (Draco), the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station (DHBF) and the 38th SDP, which is the Brás de Pina neighborhood police station in the north of Rio.

Among the prisoners is a militia identified as Rogério Moura Ferreira, known as “PQD”, who had an arrest warrant for murder.

Various war materials were seized, among them:

  • Seven pistols;
  • a shotgun;
  • a firearm simulacrum;
  • tactical equipment.

The detainees were charged in the act for constitution of private militia and illegal possession of a restricted firearm. According to the agents, all have several criminal notes.
