The Nikkei Manufacturing PMI Index released by Japan shows that the recession continues in October, although sentiment improves. The indicator has risen to 48 points in the preliminary reading for October from 47.7 in September, improving the 47.3 expected by the market.
If confirmed in the final reading that will be published in a week, this will be the best result obtained by the manufacturing PMI since last January. In addition, the indicator records its fifth consecutive month of improvement, although it remains in contraction territory since May 2019.
