A woman had a nightmare in the night when she woke up and wanted to throw drops at eye of. However, she confused the bottles and put a glue that she had on her nails, as a result of which she panicked and panicked.
Yacedrah Williams from Michigan, USA accidentally threw in her eye an adhesive used to repair broken nails instead of drops she had for her contact lenses, as she explained.
The woman stated that she woke up in the middle of the night, her eyes were dry and she wanted to take off her contact lenses. Drowsy, she grabbed her bag – where she was holding the drops – but confused them with a bottle of nail glue that was about the same size.
She realized that she had caught the wrong bottle while the liquid was falling into her eye. “It caught my eye and I tried to wipe it,” he says. But it was too late and her eye closed because of her glue. She started panicking and screaming at her husband to call an ambulance.
“I started pouring cold water and trying to open my eye but I could not. “It was completely closed,” he recalled.
She was taken to hospital, where doctors were able to open her eye and remove the contact lens with the glue. Williams lost some lashes, but otherwise was lucky in her misfortune as her eyesight was not affected.
“I was told that contact lenses saved my eyesight,” he explained.
