Night mode was added to Windows 95: it looks completely different from modern systems

Some people still consider Windows 95, if not the best, then one of the best versions of Microsoft’s operating system. Thanks to this, a community of enthusiasts has formed around it, which regularly refines the system, embedding modern functions. So, recently a GitHub user with the nickname felixrieseberg updated his port of Windows 95, embedding a new version of the Electron framework 21.0.0 into it – along with it, support for “immersive night mode in Windows” appeared. This is reported by Neowin.

The activation of innovation occurs in the settings of Windows 95 – it works completely differently than in modern operating systems. The option only changes the selection color from blue to black. Apparently, the original design of Windows 95 is not compatible with the usual dark theme, when windows and all kinds of menus are painted black (they are already gray and dark gray).
