New pact at COP26

Another pact was signed today at COP26. Countries commit to reducing methane emissions by 30% by 2030. Methane is considered a super potent greenhouse gas. Brazil will adhere to this agreement. This and other discussions advance on this second day of the summit of leaders of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, held in Scotland.

PEC of Precatório

In Brasília, the expectation is for the vote of the PEC dos Precatórios. According to the leader of the government in the Chamber, Deputy Ricardo Barros, this vote takes place tomorrow. Barros is responsible for talking with the allied bases to verify the chances of approval of the PEC that will allow the payment of the R$ 400 Brazilian Aid.

Explosion in Afghanistan

At least 25 people died and more than 50 were injured after two explosions at Afghanistan’s largest military hospital. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the bombing, but the country’s official news agency said witnesses saw Islamic State fighters in the vicinity. Afghanistan has faced great instability since August with the takeover of power by the Taliban and the turbulent withdrawal of US troops after twenty years of occupation.
