“Monster High” will get another live-action film! In a partnership between Mattel and Universal Pictures, the production will be developed by Akiva Goldsman Oscar-winning producer and screenwriter.
In an interview with Variety, Robbie Brenner , president of Mattel Films, announced the news. “’Monster High’ helps fans discover the great beauty of being true to oneself and celebrates the unique sensibilities at the core of who we are as individuals,” said the executive.
“We are proud to partner with Universal Pictures and the brilliant Akiva Goldsman to bring this important message to audiences around the world,” added Brenner.
So far, the new production does not have a release date, nor even information about which director will direct the film.
Launched in 2010, the dolls are presented as daughters of the most famous monsters in history, such as Dracula, Frankenstein and Medusa.
Once it won over the public, the toys quickly became characters in animated series and films. In 2022, “Monster High” received its first live-action film.
