New eruption of White Island volcano in New Zealand, problems on many flights

Many flights have been canceled in New Zealand due to ash spewing after the volcano erupted, local airline Air New Zealand said. The White Island volcano, where the eruption occurred, is located about 50 kilometers off the North Island and 200 kilometers from Auckland, New Zealand’s most populous city. In 2019, 22 people died from the eruption of the same volcano.
