New diesel price sold to distributors comes into effect this Wednesday (8)

Petrobras announced this Tuesday a reduction of 8.8% in the average price of diesel — the most commercialized fuel in the country — sold to distributors.

The new value, which goes from R$ 4.50 to R$ 4.10 per liter, starts to be valid this Wednesday (8).

The fuel readjustment is the first since Jean Paul Prates was named president of the state-owned company.

The most recent change in the diesel price had been announced in December, when Petrobras reduced the average sale price to distributors from R$4.89 to R$4.49 per liter, a reduction of R$0.40 per liter. liter, or drop of 8.2%.

In a note, the company says that the “reduction has as its main guideline the search for the balance of Petrobras prices in the national and international markets, contemplating the main supply alternatives for our customers and the necessary market share for the optimization of assets”.

The state-owned company also points out that, considering the mandatory mixture of 90% diesel A and 10% biodiesel for the composition of the diesel sold at the stations, its share in the consumer price will be, on average, R$ 3.69 for each liter sold at the bomb.
