Last Friday (5), HBO announced that Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and Tayme Thapthimthong have joined the cast of the third season of “The White Lotus”, by Mike White. The new names will even join Natasha Rothwell, already announced previously.
According to the platform, the new episodes will be filmed starting in February, directly from the cities of Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok in Thailand, and will follow a new group of guests at another White Lotus property.
For the new season, the streaming partnered with the Thai Tourism Authority to support filming and promotion of the work.
“We are pleased to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand. We will execute Mike's creative vision and showcase all that Thailand has to offer while the next group of guests checks in at White Lotus,” said Janet Graham Borba, Executive Vice President of Production at HBO.
According to Thapanee Kiatphaibool, governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), it is an honor to have Thailand as a filming location for the highly anticipated next season of the series.
“The exotic natural beauty, rich history and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture. The fantastic cuisine, the world-class luxury and wellness offerings, and most importantly, our people and Thai hospitality,” she says.
“Thailand has long been considered one of the world's favorite filming locations. The White Lotus project will certainly strengthen the kingdom’s status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to the country,” he adds.

The first part of the series premiered in July 2021 and was set in Hawaii. With 20 Emmy nominations in 13 categories, the production had ten wins, the most of any program that year, including Best Miniseries.
Meanwhile, the second season, which arrived in December 2022, was set in Sicily. The new batch of episodes received 23 nominations at the awards, including Best Drama Series.
Both seasons are available on HBO Max.
