Netanyahu orders army to keep fighting – Israeli FM rejects ceasefire proposal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that his government has not responded to pressure from the United States and its allies for a 21-day ceasefire. “It is a US-French proposal, to which the prime minister has not even responded,” Netanyahu’s office said in a statement, adding that he had ordered the army to “continue fighting with full force.” Netanyahu added that the war in Gaza will continue until Israel’s war goals are achieved. Israel’s foreign minister rejected a proposal for a ceasefire in Lebanon after the United States and France called for a 21-day ceasefire to allow time to reach a diplomatic solution. “There will be no ceasefire in the north.
