Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced tonight that he ordered the army to step up pressure on Hamas after the organization rejected the proposal for another temporary truce, demanding an agreement to end the war in return for the release. In his message, which was broadcast late at night on television, Netanyahu said that although the price of war is heavy, Israel “has no choice but to continue to fight for our very existence until victory”.
