Nego Di is warned by the courts after appearing in a lawyer’s posts on social media

The Justice of Rio Grande do Sul warned the influencer and comedian Dilson Alves da Silva Neto, known as Nego Di, after he appeared in a post on the social network of his then lawyer, Tatiana Borsa, moments after leaving prison on provisional release, in the last November 27th.

Nego Di, who is responsible for embezzlement, was released after the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) granted a habeas corpus.

Judge Patrícia Pereira Krebs Tonet, from the 2nd Criminal Court of the District of Canoas, responded to a request from the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rio Grande do Sul, and pointed out that “it is up to him to ensure effective compliance with the conditions imposed in the judicial decision that granted, outright, his freedom provisional”.

Among the precautionary measures are:

  • Periodic appearance in court to justify their activities;
  • Prohibition of changing address without judicial authorization;
  • Prohibition of being absent from the district without prior notification to the
    judgment;
  • Prohibition of attending/using social networks;
  • Passport collection

In the same decision, the judge rejected the request for provisional release from Anderson Bonetti, Nego Di’s partner and co-defendant in the case, and stated that the co-defendant’s situation differs from that of Dilson, highlighting the Public Prosecutor’s statement which pointed out that in Anderson’s case there is a concrete risk of repeating the crime if he remains free, citing other cases in which he is a defendant.

The moment in which Nego Di leaves the gate of the Canoas State Penitentiary (Pecan) was recorded in videos that went viral on social media.

On the way out, when asked if he had anything to say, he replied: “God is the greatest”.

In October, the Rio Grande do Sul Court had denied, for the third time, the comedian’s request for freedom.

Nego Di had been in prison since July this year, being investigated for embezzlement. He is accused of deceiving more than 300 people who bought products through the “Tadizuera” virtual store, managed by him.

According to the police, the victims suffered an estimated loss of more than R$5 million.

After release, Nego Di’s lawyers published a photo on social media where they appear celebrating with Nego Di, where they toast while holding glasses. Minutes after posting, the photo was deleted.

Remember the scheme

On social media, Nego Di claimed to have been hired by Anderson Bonetti to simply promote the products, but in another video he claimed to be the owner and guaranteed delivery of the product to customers.

One of the victims of the scam, who lost R$30,000 after buying two cell phones and some air conditioning, told CNN about Nego Di’s modus operandi.

According to her, the suspect sold, in 2022, cell phones at prices well below the market and delivered them, to give veracity to the scam.

Soon after, he announced that he would create a virtual store, selling products at low prices so that everyone could have access.
