NATO: 'No Plan' to Send Combat Troops to Ukraine

The NATO “has no plans” to send combat troops to Ukraine, an Alliance official told AFP, a day after French President Emmanuel Macron's remarks.

“NATO and Allies are providing unprecedented military assistance to Ukraine. We have been doing it since 2014 and we continue to do it with greater speed after the full-scale Russian invasion. But there is no plan for NATO combat troops on Ukrainian soil,” the official stressed, as reported by the Athens News Agency.

Last night, the French president Emmanuel Macron he said that sending Western troops to the battlefields of Ukraine in the future cannot be “ruled out”. The Kremlin has warned that conflict between Russia and NATO will be inevitable if NATO member countries send troops to fight in Ukraine.
