NATO: All countries with only “disagreement” Turkey in favor of immediate accession Finland-Sweden

At an informal dinner of NATO foreign ministers yesterday, the vast majority of member states voted in favor of Sweden and Finland joining the North Atlantic Alliance immediately, according to reports.

In fact, as they report, there was “competition” which country will ratify the relevant accession protocols faster, implying that the positive outcome of the negotiations is predetermined.

According to the same information, the only disagreement is Turkey, which referred to alleged relations between the two countries with “terrorist” organizations.

They note that these accusations have been rejected by interested countries, while some allies have pointed out that in the face of a historic moment where unity is required against Russian aggression, no exclusions should be made.

The Greek position, as expressed by Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias, is that the accession of Sweden and Finland will strengthen the front of the principles of democracy and respect for international law, principles and values, which NATO must advocate.
