Natalie Portman’s Divorce Must-Have? Rihanna

Often, when very famous women go through divorces that everyone talks about, a still image or an object goes so viral that it becomes a sort of pop culture symbol, a totem representing our heroine emerging triumphant from the separation. Nicole Kidman had her fist-pumping moment in the parking lot. Princess Diana had her revenge dress. Sophie Turner he had all those dinners with Taylor Swift. And now, Natalie Portman has the concrete certainty that Rihanna he thinks she’s a badass.

Last Monday Portman, who in February made her divorce from her husband final Benjamin Millepied after 11 years of marriage, it is appeared at the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonwhere he revealed how a chance interaction with the singer Diamonds last January helped her in a difficult time.

“I think every woman going through a divorce should hear Rihanna tell her that she’s a badass,” Portman said.

She and Rihanna were filmed while they were gushing over each other in compliments and hugging each other outside a Paris Fashion Week show: an interaction that, as Portman told the host Jimmy Fallonturned out to be “a formative moment in my life.”

“I love you,” Portman tells Rihanna in the video as they squeal and hug.

“I’m a huge fucking fan of yours,” Rihanna replies. “You’re one of the hottest, baddest chicks in Hollywood.”

“What, excuse me? I’m going to faint,” Portman replies, shocked, with her hand on her heart. “I’m going to lose consciousness. I adore you and I listen to your music all the time, you really are a queen, thank you!”

Rihanna then asks to take a picture together. When Rihanna wants a picture, you take it, and if you’re Natalie Portman, you take it. Post on Instagram with the caption “I still can’t believe it.” Well, that’s fair enough.
