The Ingenuity Mars helicopter made its third flight, during which it developed a speed of about seven kilometers per hour and covered a distance of 50 meters.
The Ingenuity flight on April 25 achieved speeds and distances exceeding those ever demonstrated before, even during tests on Earth, as stated on the NASA website.

The helicopter took off at 12:33 local Martian time, rising 5 meters. He then flew 50 meters, which is just over half the length of a football field, reaching a top speed of 2 meters per second.
The flight today was what we had planned and yet it was absolutely amazing. With this flight, we are demonstrating the critical capabilities that will add an aerial dimension to future missions to Mars.

Earlier it was reported that Ingenuity will conduct a number of more test flights over the coming weeks.
New photos taken during this flight are posted on the agency’s website.
