The new film directed by Ridley Scott, “Napoleon”, which portrays the life of the former Emperor of the French, Napoleon Bonaparte, has just got a new official trailer. Starring the actor Joaquin Phoenix who plays the military leader, the work will be released in theaters on November 23 this year.
In the images released this Wednesday (18), Phoenix appears leading the French troops in different moments of war and conflicts. There are also scenes of Napoleon talking to his wife, Josephine, and of the emperor himself crowning himself in what we know as Napoleon’s coronation.
The trailer is set against the backdrop of the song “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath. From the same director of the films “Gladiator” and “Blade Runner”, the work also has a script by David Scarpa, screenwriter of “The Last Castle” and “All the Money in the World”.
“The film provides a personal view of Napoleon’s origins and his rapid and relentless rise to empire. The story is seen through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and true love, Josephine,” says Apple TV+, which will have the work in its catalog later.
