N. Mitarakis: Greece will never be a suitable ground for the use of immigration

Notis Mitarakis gave an account of his tenure as Minister of Immigration and Asylum of the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and as Member of Parliament of Chios, in a speech last Wednesday night in Chios, at a political gathering.

In addition, he spoke about the government’s support program for society on the accuracy front. “The total amount of financial aid that the Greek Government has budgeted and made available to protect citizens from the energy crisis is equal to 3.7% of the country’s GDP,” the minister said, pointing out that “this figure constitutes an achievement that ranks Greece first among the 25 European countries”.

“Now, total measures amounting to 8.5 billion euros until the end of 2022, support and strengthen the disposable income of households and businesses in the face of the energy crisis and precision” concluded Mr. Mitarakis.

Speaking about national issues, Mr. Mitarakis pointed out that our country “has found an unwavering stride regarding national issues” which, as he said, “makes it a driver of developments in our wider neighborhood, but also allows it, now, to speaks from a position of strength”.

“The government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis fulfills its debt to the Greek citizens. For all this, we Akrites, I think we should reflect twice on their importance,” Mr. Mitarakis emphasized, adding: “Today, we are doubly proud because we live in a a country that is not afraid and not intimidated, that does not bow to threats, that does not allow anyone to interfere in any way in its internal affairs. Nor will it ever be fertile ground for any attempt to instrumentalize Immigration. We protect our borders, just like our national sovereignty.
