N. Iliopoulos: The Prime Minister’s statements about the fire in Penteli are a crescendo of arrogance and self-admiration

“Arrogance and inadequacy” says the representative of SYRIZA-PS, Nasos Iliopoulos, commenting on the statements of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis about the fire in Penteli.

Specifically, Mr. Iliopoulos states: “Mr. Mitsotakis appeared to continue the government’s crescendo of arrogance and self-admiration. The government succeeded, Penteli burned down. While houses are still burning in Attica, with the number of houses still unknown destroyed, he did not hesitate to say that the damage is limited”.

Generalizing, Mr. Iliopoulos asserts: “He is satisfied with the thousands of gaps in the fire department and the images of policemen with buckets trying to put out the flames. We also heard the promises of the state’s support to those who have been affected last year in Evia and in other fire-stricken areas, but the residents are still waiting. Without shame K. Mitsotakis admits not only his inadequacy but also the gap with the reality that ordinary citizens of the country live”.
