Strange are the images from the China that come to light and show a lot sheep to walk around in a circle for 12 days. This is a strange behavior, which was recorded by security cameras.
Sheep move in an almost perfect circle in one farm. Some other animals are seen to be… watching outside the circle.
The video of the strange images was posted on Twitter on Wednesday by China’s People’s Daily, which said the sheep were in good health and that the cause of their behavior remained a mystery.
The owner of the sheep, who has been identified as Mr Miao, said it all started with a few sheep, with many more to follow. Although there are several pens on the farm, only the sheep of one of them – at number 13 – behave in this way.
The sheep have been on the move since November 4th.
Some suspect that the sheep’s behavior may be caused by Listeriosis. “Initially, affected animals have no appetite, appear listless and disoriented. They may be propelled at an angle, touch fixed objects, or circle,” according to the Merck Manual.
