Mysterious medieval cemetery concerns archaeologists – the position of the dead and their sex

A medieval cemetery discovered near Cardiff, Wales Airport, continues to worry about archaeologists, as the mysteries surrounding it are increasing. The discovery of the site, dating back to the 6th or 7th century, was announced last year when dozens of skeletons were found in unusual positions, accompanied by unexpected objects. Now, the researchers have found that almost all the dead in the cemetery are women. Although their bones have evidence of wear and tear, indicating that they were doing heavy manual labor, there are signs of wealth and luxury.
