Murder in New Philadelphia: ‘We informed via Interpol and Europol’ says Croatian Interior Ministry

In its first reaction, after the murder of a 29-year-old AEK fan by Dinamo Zagreb hooligans, the Croatian Ministry of the Interior declares that it is incompetent.

According to sources cited by a Croatian website, on August 4, the country’s Police sent all the information they had about the hooligans who could travel to Greece through the international networks of Europol and Interpol to the Greek Police, but also to the Authorities of the countries from ‘ where the hooligans could pass, that is, in Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo, he says characteristically.

As the ministry states, “security information of this type is exchanged between the countries they are expected to travel to and the Police of each country decides how to act according to the information it has. Based on this, the Montenegrin authorities informed about the passage of 120 Croatian citizens in 21 vehicles.

“At the moment, we do not have any information from the Greek Police about the fate of the Croatian citizens and we are collecting information about the circumstances under which the incidents took place,” according to the Ministry of the Interior.
