Jaguar that devoured homemade returns to look for body and attack rescuer
Criminal expertise confirmed, based on the state of the body and evidence, that the attack was caused by a jaguar. The case remains under investigation, and the authorities consider hypotheses such as food scarcity, defensive behavior, reproductive period of the animal – when males tend to become more aggressive – or some involuntary attitude of the victim who may have triggered the attack.
In a note, the corporation lamented the death of man:
The 1st MS Military Police Battalion of MS deeply regrets the death of Jorge Aval. We express our sincere condolences to family and friends at this time of pain.
