“It’s time to do the right thing and reunite the Parthenon Sculptures,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a Twitter post on a UK poll, in which 59% of respondents believe that The place of the Sculptures is in Greece, while only 18% are in favor of their stay in the museum of London.
The Greek Prime Minister stressed that the return of the Sculptures will further strengthen the relationship between Greece and the United Kingdom. Specifically, he said: “The relationship between Greece and the United Kingdom is strong. Let us further strengthen it. It is time to do the right thing and reunite the Parthenon Sculptures in Athens. A move supported by the British people.”
