The Public Prosecution Service of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) does Searches against members of rival criminal factions in Buzios on the morning of Monday (14).
Operation High Maré is coordinated by the 1st Prosecutor of Armação dos Buzios and the Coordination of Security and Intelligence (CSI/MPRJ) in conjunction with the 25th BPM, with the support of the 127th Civil Police DP.
According to the MPRJ, the targets are linked to criminal organizations involved in the dispute for controlling drug trafficking in Armação dos Búzios.
Investigations revealed that the rivalry among criminals has contributed to the increase of homicides in the region.
The warrants, issued by the Court of the 2nd Court of Buzios at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, are fulfilled at addresses in the neighborhoods Centro, Rasa, Maria Joaquina, Turtle, Manguinhos, Cem Baths, José Gonçalves, Pântano and Brava. Five court orders are complied with in prison units.
