A heroic mother of two lost her life while saving her children from fire in a caravan holiday park, where the fire alarm did not work, according to a forensic investigation. 42 -year -old Ruth Pingri, who was, as they described it, “completely dedicated”, helped her children escape before succumbing to fumes during family holidays. According to the Daily Mail, her son was the one who alerted the family to the fire at around 4am, as the alarm did not sound. The door of the aluminum caravan had been bent due to the fire and did not open, so Ruth’s husband was breaking the kitchen window to get out with their children. Pingri made sure that her children had escaped, but as they came out of the caravan, the fire spread and she died in the flames.
